  • Provox TrachPhone HME
  • Our HME for tracheostomy patients.

Our TrachPhone is a state-of-the-art HME (heat and moisture exchanger) intended for spontaneously breathing patients with a tracheostomy tube. It contains a lid with a spring that can easily be occluded with a finger to facilitate speech. After releasing the finger, the lid opens automatically. TrachPhone also has a valve for forced inspiration/expiration or suctioning, and a built-in oxygen port.

    Features:

    Speech valve function
    Integrated oxygen connector
Light weight, only 2.9 g, minimal stress on the tracheostomy tube
    Integrated suction port
In case of coughing or blockage the suction port acts as a relief valve
Standard 15 mm connector complies with EN 1281-1

  • Provox XtraFlow HME
  • After a total laryngectomy, you breathe through a stoma which means that cold, dry air is inhaled directly into the lungs. This often results in undesirable side effects such as increased coughing and mucus production, sleeplessness and other social implications.

An HME (heat- and moisture exchanger) acts as an artificial nose and regains some of the lost respiratory functions of the nose. The Provox XtraHME heats and moisturizes inhaled air, since the specially treated foam inside the HME cassette traps heat and moisture during exhalation.

    XtraFlow HME

is focusing on having superior airflow. XtraFlow is great to use when exercising and when adapting to the breathing resistance after having been without an HME for a longer time.

  • Provox Micron HME
  • Atos Medical introduced the Provox HME cassette in 1995 to help reduce pulmonary symptoms in laryngectomees. The Provox Micron HME is the next step in the development.

The Provox Micron HME is an HME that gives laryngectomees enhanced protection against airborne microbes. We combine the original Provox HME with a highly efficient electrostatic filter media - a new era for HMEs!

    Benefits:

An electrostatic filter material helps to reduce the transfer of viruses and bacteria. This is especially important since laryngectomees often have a compromised immune system. Provides the same HME capabilities as the original HME cassette. Fits all the attachment devices in the Provox System.

  • Provox StabiliBase Adhesive
  • Our most popular adhesive, Provox StabiliBase, offers an innovative 3-piece peel-off liner and a sturdy convex shape supported by stabilizing bars. These design features simplify application, provide stability and support during speech and increase device life time of the adhesive in the majority of users. The average increase in life has made it possible to reduce the number of adhesives needed per month. The Provox StabiliBase is well suited for Provox FreeHands HME users.

Especially suitable for hands-free speaking valves.
    Improves fitting in deep stomas.
Strong adhesion - similar to FlexiDerm.

  • Provox XtraBase Adhesive
  • Provox® Adhesive base plates are designed to hold the Provox® HME Cassette, Provox® FreeHands HME, and Provox® ShowerAid in front of the tracheostoma, and to provide an optimized seal to the skin around the stoma.

There are four different types of adhesives, with three different adhesive properties and two different shapes (oval and round).

XtraBase™ - a unique, convex self-adhering base plate. The adhesion properties of the popular FlexiDerm base plate and Provox XtraBase are alike. But thanks to its special shape and reinforced center, it is also ideal for persons with a deep stoma or anyone using an automatic tracheostoma valve such as the Provox FreeHands HME.

  • Provox OptiDerm Adhesive
  • Provox® Adhesive base plates are designed to hold the Provox® HME Cassette, Provox® FreeHands HME, and Provox® ShowerAid in front of the tracheostoma, and to provide an optimized seal to the skin around the stoma.

There are four different types of adhesives, with three different adhesive properties and two different shapes (oval and round).

OptiDerm™ – a hydrocolloid material, so skin-friendly that it can even be used the day after surgery and even by laryngectomees with temporary or chronic skin sensitivity (mean durability: 2 days)

  • Provox FlexiDerm Adhesive
  • Provox® Adhesive base plates are designed to hold the Provox® HME Cassette, Provox® FreeHands HME, and Provox® ShowerAid in front of the tracheostoma, and to provide an optimized seal to the skin around the stoma.

There are four different types of adhesives, with three different adhesive properties and two different shapes (oval and round).

FlexiDerm™ – often preferred for its strong, flexible adhesive properties (mean durability: 2 days)

  • Provox Regular Adhesive
  • Provox® Adhesive base plates are designed to hold the Provox® HME Cassette, Provox® FreeHands HME, and Provox® ShowerAid in front of the tracheostoma, and to provide an optimized seal to the skin around the stoma.

There are four different types of adhesives, with three different adhesive properties and two different shapes (oval and round).

Regular – a standard adhesive with normal adhesive properties, easy to remove (mean durability: 1 day).
